This is my go to Chinese restaurant in the area and it hits every time. When I say I'm craving shrimp fried rice and fried chicken, this is the taste I imagine. It's savory, delectable, flavored, and well seasoned. The service is also really quick and the owner (I think she's the owner) is friendly. It's a super casual spot more for take out but they do have seats if you want to sit down. Jing Lung can continue to expect me back!

Definitely a cool quick straight forward spot to grab the solid basics at a good price. General Taos is fresh and they keep the kitchen clean. They also accept debit the only downside is no delivery but it's cool because I live close by.

As others have said, it's a neighborhood divey Chinese spot. My gf and I indulge once a week or other week, but are never disappointed. I don't get the fried chicken wings like many people in the neighborhood, but I do like me some spare rib tips. Very good. Soups are good. Chow fun is solid.

I recently moved to the area and have had food from here on a couple of occasions. I was impressed with the food quality on each occasion and would recommend.

I read all the reviews: I was hoping for some suggestions. So I am writing this so there will be at least one review with suggestions. I agree with Marcello, Debbie G.& a little bit Honest R reviews. The service is superfast, and I feel it has been consistent. But it is a regular neighborhood Chinese restaurant. Granted it is the best one in this neighborhood. I do not order the typical neighborhood Chinese food dishes; fried chicken, General Tso's, or chicken & broccoli. I have never had these dishes from here. I like their fried shrimp, French fries, Hunan Shrimp, Fried Scallops, Fried rice( wow, I do like a lot of fried), shrimp egg rolls(my favorite, really maybe two shrimps with cabbage, still love it)

For a dive-y takeout Chinese food place, this is about as good as it gets. I've never had any problems with inconsistency in quality of food, delivery is always pretty fast (granted I live up the block) and they walk up to the apartment, which is always appreciated. Seriously though, the food here is, in my opinion, much better than you'd expect based on how this place looks. You know how General Tso Chicken always says it's spicy, but never actually is, regardless of how spicy you ask them to make it? It's actually spicy here. It's great. Highly recommend.
